You can actually experience the process of making a SOBA from buckwheat flour at the farmhouse in Akita. 

Here, it is the purpose of reclaiming wasteland here and is the land which began cultivation of buckwheat's seeds. 

In summer, you can see beautiful fireflies here and can eat the delicious buckwheat noodles made by yourselves.
