This festival is contrastive with brave Nebuta Festival, and is a lovely festival.

金魚ちょうちんは、和紙と竹ひごから作られる。金魚ちょうちん祭りは、青森のねぶた祭りをヒントに誕生した。この祭りは、勇壮なねぶた祭りとは対照的で、愛らしい祭りである。夜の街を照らす5000個もの提灯イルミネーションは、幻想的で風流である。
